Description
The M-7000 series is a family of network data acquisition and control modules that support Modbus RTU and DCON protocols. With the Modbus RTU protocol, the modules can easily communicate with most popular SCADA/ HMI software packages and PLC's. It has the same form factor as the I-7000 series.
The M-7018 is an 8-channel Analog Input module that provides current and voltage input, as well as thermocouple input. The M-7018 also features 4 kV ESD protection and 3000 VDC intra-module isolation. The specifications for the M-7018 are the same as the I-7018, but additionally supports the Modbus RTU protocol as well as the DCON protocol. The input range is selected per module (i.e. all channels are set to the same input range)

Note: For highly-accurate thermocouple measurement, the I-7018Z/I-7019Z modules are recommended as they feature automatic cold-junction compensation for each channel, ensuring consistent and stable temperature output.
