Description
The RS-405 series is a range of real-time redundant ring switches from ICPDAS. They can be used for several different applications including:
- Link-lose-backup in the industrial field application. The ring topology quickly provides an alternative path should a network node or cable segment fail.
- A cost effective redundant ring Ethernet LAN can be configured by mixing RS-405 with other low cost unmanaged Ethernet Switches such as the NS-205/208 series
- Ring Coupling : To join seperate ethernet rings together (such as over different floors or buildings).

- The RS-405 series are equipped with 2 power inputs, which are redundant of each other.
- The relay output facility can deliver a warning signal on power or link failure
- Modbus/TCP protocol Supported : This allows the administrator of an Ethernet LAN, through SCADA software, to obtain information regarding the condition and individual port status of the RS-405.
